1st building in Lleida with a LEB low energy demand Passivhaus certificate
The project
At Ribalta i Fills we have been committed for years to a more efficient, sustainable construction prepared for the future. A prominent example is Can Sol, a detached house built in Oliana and certified in 2020 as a Low Energy Building (LEB).
The home has been conceived to reduce energy needs to the maximum, combining a high-performance building envelope, a significant level of insulation and technical solutions aimed at maintaining comfortable indoor conditions throughout the year.
Energy efficiency, comfort and durability applied to a building designed to minimise energy consumption.
A building designed to consume less
The thermal envelope of Can Sol has been specially studied to minimise energy losses. The facades and roofs incorporate significant thicknesses of insulation, while the windows feature triple glazing with low-emissivity treatments and argon gas.
The combination of these solutions allows for the reduction of air conditioning needs and improves the stability of the home's indoor temperature.

Aerothermal energy
Hot water and heating production via aerothermal energy and underfloor heating.
Efficient ventilation
Ground-to-air enthalpic heat exchanger system designed specifically for Can Sol.
Earth-to-air enthalpy heat exchanger
One of the most singular elements of the project is the earth-to-air enthalpy heat exchanger, custom-made for Can Sol.
The system takes advantage of the stable ground temperature for the treatment of ventilation air. It is used all year round and also functions as a cooling system during the summer months.

Efficiency applied to the home
With projects like Can Sol, we continue to move towards a more efficient and responsible construction, incorporating innovative technical solutions adapted to new energy requirements without sacrificing quality, comfort and durability.
